Saffron is one of the must-have items in your Persian pantry, it's such a go to product that we use daily in the company and weekly at home.

In order to make the most out of this deliciously expensive spice, here's a few ways to create saffron water concentrate to simply add to your dishes when needed. It's really easy and SUPER convenient for a quick way to use saffron in your recipes.

Ingredients:
• Saffron strands
• Sugar
• Boiling water

To make:
1) Grind roughly 1.5 tsp of saffron in a pestle and mortar
2) Add in 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and grind along with saffron (grind it until fine)
3) Boil the kettle and top up the mixture with hot water
4) Pour the mixture into a measuring jug... don't forget the bits!
5) Pour into a glass jar / bottle and leave to cool

You can also bloom saffron with ice also to create the water also:

Ingredients:
• Saffron strands
• Ice cubes

To make:
1) Grind roughly 1.5 tsp of saffron in a pestle and mortar
2) Sprinkle saffron on top of a few ice cubes and let it melt at room temperature
4) Pour the mixture into a measuring jug... don't forget the bits!
5) Pour into a glass jar / bottle and leave to cool
And that's it!! Store in your fridge and use within a month. Scale up the ingredients depending on the size of your jar, jug or bottle.

Instead of grinding a small amount each time you cook, grab your pre-made mixture and you're good to go! You're welcome.
