In today’s world we believe it’s important, now more than ever, to do our bit to minimise our global footprint.

We’ve worked really hard to produce products and packaging that are biodegradable and recyclable. Our dishes use 100% biodegradable packaging, our print materials use vegetable ink and our inner liners are made from wool offcuts that are compostable and reusable.

Wool Liners

Not only is wool an amazing smart fibre, it’s also a natural superior insulator. Wool is one of the most sustainable natural materials, being available in abundance as a by-product of rearing sheep. The wool insulation is totally compostable and biodegradable, releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil. Insulated eco-friendly wool packaging products are reusable and fully sustainable, significantly reducing the impact of waste to landfill.

We use the award winning company Woolcool exclusively for all of our frozen meal packs to ensure your food not only arrives in the best condition, but also in the most eco friendly way.

At the end of its useful life as packaging, the insulation liners can be re-used for a variety of purposes. The wool from the liners can be used in a variety of ways from filling for soft furnishing to insulation around pipes, lining for your dog bed to compost – you can even use the liner to keep your food cool in a picnic basket!

Ice Packs

Within your box you will also find our eco friendly ice packs, made from a non toxic polymer gel. These ice packs are non-toxic & completely food safe, the gel is mixed with water and although they aren't biodegradable they are 100% recyclable - if you want to dispose of them, simply cut the corner of the pack and dispose of the contents through the normal domestic waste system. The contents are benign, given the dilution of the polymer and purification of the water they are not at all harmful to the environment. The outer film is totally recyclable as LDPE 4.
